Due in part to his surname, John's main aspiration is world domination. He is willing to do whatever it takes, including painting armored monkeys, attractive ladies, or Legend of Zelda-themed holiday ornaments.

John has been in the illustration and design fields since graduating from the Hussian School of Art in 2001. His focus has been in the fantasy and sci-fi gaming industry, where he has had work commissioned for book and game covers and interiors, collectible cards, web banners, and posters. His work has been published by several publishing companies including Wizards of the Coast, Blizzard Entertainment, Olde World Miniatures, Sabertooth Games, and Fleer Trading Cards.
